Armaan Malik sang the song "Bum Bum Bole" for the 2007 movie Taare Zameen Par when he was just 10 years old. Since then, he has pursued a career as a playback singer, an independent singer-songwriter, and has collaborated with various artists. Recently, he performed with Ed Sheeran and Marshmello during their tours in India. During a visit to Bengaluru, Armaan expressed his belief that he has turned his dreams into reality. He reflected on his journey as a singer, transitioning from a child singer to a pop singer and later to a Bollywood artist. Armaan shared his aspirations for the future, which include winning a Grammy, performing at Madison Square Garden, and collaborating with artists such as Charlie Puth, Zedd, and Justin Bieber. He emphasized the importance of being prepared for the opportunities that come along. He also discussed the evolution of the music scene and noted a shift towards creating viral hits over focusing on quality music. Armaan highlighted the value of authenticity in music and emphasized the need to protect artists' rights in the face of advancing technology that can manipulate voices and textures.I find it both amusing and concerning that anyone can utilize my voice and texture to produce a song. There should be regulations in place to safeguard artist rights and uphold the authenticity of music as technology advances. I believe that traditional elements like real instruments and musicians should always play a crucial role in the music-making process. What is natural should stay that way. Collaborations are an excellent way to merge different worlds, fans, and styles. Engaging with another artist is thrilling, but the key is to have a genuine admiration for them. Successful collaborations require mutual admiration and enthusiasm. I have a list of favorite artists I would love to collaborate with because I respect their music and desire to create together. I've been fortunate to collaborate with many of them, including the amazing experience of working with AR Rahman. It's incredible to see how dreams can come to fruition through manifestation. Today, with talent and internet accessibility, even someone from a remote village can become a star by sharing great content online, making it a flourishing period for independent music in India. As a playback singer, one must be versatile, adjusting vocal style to match the on-screen character. Singing with Ed was a dream realized for A.Armaan Malik found performing with Ed Sheeran to be a humbling experience. Despite Ed Sheeran's worldwide fame, he remained remarkably down-to-earth. It's uncommon to encounter someone of his caliber who remains so rooted. They had enriching discussions about music, including Indian music, and Ed expressed his interest in collaborating with more Indian artists. Their bond grew into a close friendship, leading Armaan to see Ed as a brother. Recently, Armaan Malik had a sold-out performance at Bharatiya City in Bengaluru.
